The Power of Jira Studio – Search & Navigation

Jira Studio is Atlassian’s hosted software development suite that integrates hassle-free Subversion hosting with all of Atlassian’s fast, simple tools for building great software.
Because Jira Studio runs in a hosted environment, we’ve been able to add some features that are not yet available in our download products, even after following our in-depth product integration guide. Previous posts covered unified activity streams and updating issues with Subversion commit comments. This time, let’s take a look at Studio’s search and quick navigation.

Unified Search & Quick Navigation

Jira Studio provides all the search capabilities of the integrated products, including

Studio adds to these search capabilities with a unified and quick navigation and search feature, available from any screen within the application. Just start typing in a search term, and Studio will display the most likely issue and wiki matches.

Full Search Results

If the quick navigation doesn’t reveal what you’re looking for, you can click through to the full search results, with matching issues, wiki content, reviews, and source. One more click will take you to the underlying product’s (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye or Crucible) detailed search results.
