Jira 5.1 sneak peek – Growing in the Enterprise

Atlassian is growing, and a big focus in Jira development has been our continued work on performance and scale. We gave a preview of some of the exciting stats at Summit, and I’d like to share those announcements as you gear up for the Jira 5.1 release coming soon!

Enterprise at Summit

At Atlassian Summit 2012, one of the first announcements was on the updates to the Jira Enterprise Offering. Over 90% of the Fortune 50 companies use Jira, but we know that Jira is a standard across many large organizations. By listening to what our customers need, we’ve expanded Jira Enterprise to include:

Atlassian engineering also has two significant new teams: first, we’ve formed a sub-team focused on enterprise performance and scale with Jira development. Second, we created a separate Performance Engineering team. The efforts of these two new teams have given Jira big results so far, including 40% better throughput on Jira 5.1 over Jira 4.4.

Growing with You

The Jira State of the Union this year focused on our continued investment in usability and performance for teams of all sizes.
