Great news for Bamboo users! If you haven’t already heard, Amazon has dropped the price of running EC2 instances. In other words, it just got cheaper to:
- run your Bamboo builds in the cloud instead of on your own iron
- tighten up feedback time on your builds by running more jobs in parallel
- execute builds and tests against more platform/OS/browser combinations
Keep in mind this is not a pricing change for Bamboo itself; the change is in the per-hour price Amazon charges for using their EC2 service. Read more the price reductions on Amazon’s AWS blog site.
