New Release of Atlassian Connector for IntelliJ – Task Context Integration, Easier Jira Editing and More!
Developers constantly have to switch to and from tasks due to interruptions and urgent issues. A recently introduced feature in IntelliJ 9 – task context management – makes it much easier to get back “in context” on a task by showing the active changelist, open editors, expanded branches in Project View, run configurations and enabled breakpoints for that task.

Version 2.3 of the Atlassian Connector for IntelliJ IDEA takes advantage of this feature by automatically creating a context for every Jira issue that becomes your ‘active issue’.
More Jira improvements
In addition to automatic task context creation, version 2.3 introduces new features that make it faster to manage issues using the Connector for IntelliJ including:
- In-place Field Editing and File Attachments enable more issue management from within the IDE.
- Preset filters provide common search criteria such as ‘Assigned to me’ as soon as you connect to your Jira server.
Crucible Improvements

Developers using the Crucible code review tool and IntelliJ can take advantage of several new features including:
- Iterative reviews let you add a changeset to an existing review.
- Pre-Loading of Review Files makes browsing multiple files in a review much faster.
- Revision Numbers for Comments make it easier to understand which changes a comment relates to.
