Today marks the first step in a multi-year journey that will shape the future of Atlassian’s Cloud Platform. I’m excited to announce a new partnership between Atlassian and Google Cloud—a critical milestone in empowering intelligent teamwork for customers around the world.
Why this matters: A multi-cloud strategy for resilience and innovation
At Atlassian, one of our biggest priorities is strengthening our Cloud Platform to accelerate transformation for the world’s largest and most complex organizations. From helping NASA land the Mars Rover, to ensuring Rivian cars roll off the production line and Domino’s pizzas are delivered on time, our customers are tackling some of the toughest challenges in their industries—and they need a platform that’s as robust and adaptable as they are.
This partnership enhances our ability to strengthen our platform through a multi-cloud strategy. Atlassian’s core cloud apps—including Jira, Confluence, and Loom—will soon be hosted on Google Cloud, in addition to Amazon Web Services (AWS). By combining Google Cloud’s extensive global reach with Atlassian’s trusted platform, we are making it easier for organizations to adopt secure, scalable, and AI-powered teamwork solutions. Customers will have the convenience of purchasing Atlassian Cloud apps directly through the Google Cloud Marketplace and using their existing spend commitments to simplify procurement.
But it’s not just about infrastructure. This collaboration will also fuel powerful product integrations between Google and Atlassian products, especially in the realm of AI. By deepening our integration with Google Cloud, we’re laying the groundwork for even more powerful AI-powered collaboration and smarter workflows.
